What I like about acrylic prints is that they are clean, neat, smooth and need no additional and expensive framing. I don’t care for the mounting posts but you can order them with the metal hanging wire and wood frame for the back and the image is separated from your wall by about 2 inches. The setting sun can shine brightly on the water on the beach.
Wildflowers were blooming along California’s Pacific Ocean Coastline. Some, I recognize, others I couldn’t identify even with my flower book.
That’s what landscape artist Francis McComas said about this spot along the Pacific Ocean Coastline at Carmel, California. Point Lobos State Natural Reserve became part of California’s State Park system in 1933. They only allow 150 vehicles in the park at any given time in order to preserve its tranquility.
Occasionally the scene presents itself for a little camera painting. I’m looking for vertical or horizontal shapes that I can move the camera parallel with during exposure. See previous post

The swells a few weeks ago were crashing pretty high along California’s Pacific Ocean Coastline. Fortunately these two people were not hit by these massive waves and swept to sea.

Normally we photograph the setting sun, not rising sun on the Pacific Ocean. But, I woke up around 5am and decided to check it out. In the winter, the sun actually rises more from the Southeast, not East. So I was able to get a vantage point where the color from the sun would be in the frame along with the crashing waves on the beach. With just enough clouds to give the images some depth, it was a glorious sunrise even though I got a soaking from the waves.
