Point Lobos State Natural Reserve
Possibly “The crown jewel of the California State Park System”, Point Lobos is about as good as it gets along California’s coastline. Landscape Painter Francis McComas called Point Lobos “the greatest meeting of land and water in the world.”Â
Located at Carmel, the park is highly protected because of its natural wonders, above and below the surface of the water.
“Smell the sea and feel the sky, let your soul and spirit fly”
That’s a line from the Van Morrison song “Brand New Day” That’s the feeling I get whenever I make my annual trek to California’s Pacific Ocean coastline. From Cambria up to Carmel, the surf was high and the sky was eclectic.
