Walter’s Wiggles

Named after Zion National Park’s superintendent, Walter Ruesch, these switchbacks were constructed in 1926. These series of 21 switchbacks lead to the diabolical Angel’s Landing trail but you better be in decent shape to conquer both.

Rappelling 101

Finally got a chance to learn how to rappell.  My friend Steve took another friend of ours, Wendy and I for a lesson near Zion National Park. It was a lot easier than I expected as Steve was a thorough instructor. Most of these images are of Wendy as I was kinds busy on my turn.

The Anxiety-Producing Angel’s Landing Hike

This hike at Zion National Park is for adrenaline junkies. Unfortunately, I only had enough adrenaline to get near the very top but I completed the part with big drop offs left and right.
