Named after Zion National Park’s superintendent, Walter Ruesch, these switchbacks were constructed in 1926. These series of 21 switchbacks lead to the diabolical Angel’s Landing trail but you better be in decent shape to conquer both.

I’m curious. Why is the Angel’s Trail diabolical?

It’s a hike where there are 1,500 foot drop offs left and right on the trail. They’ve built chains and rails along the route for safety

We did climb this one but didn`t go to the tip of Angel’s Landing but only did up to where the chains start. It was quite a hike…(Suzanne)

I’ve hiked it a number of times but don’t need to do it anymore.
