East Coast Trip Slideshow

Images from my recent trip from Colorado to the East Coast and back to Utah. Covered 23 states + Washington DC. Watch in HiDef at Full Screen.

Back In Utah for now.

My two-months long trip has ended and it was great seeing family and friends and the places I grew up in on the East Coast. Plus, I visited 4 more states I hadn’t been to before. I have two left, Alaska and Florida.

And ………….

And I also:

Visited 12 National Park locations.

Visited a good friend at the home office of The National Park Service, just a few blocks from The White House.

Travelled some 8,461 miles. Much more than I anticipated. I had to get my vehicle its scheduled maintenance when in Pennsylvania.

I travelled through 23 states plus D.C., some more than once. This included 4 states in about 4 hours time. See if you can guess them.

I travelled on two separate subway systems plus a ferry.

I took 2060 photos with my iPhone.

I snapped 2,346 photos with my Canon DSLR

I directed 86 videos of various lengths

I gained 10 pounds but it was worth it! I ate lobster, Mexican, Thai, Italian, NYC grub, New England Clam Chowder and a glorious Thanksgiving Day dinner at my sisters in Ohio.

Who knows where my next adventures will take me but it’s time to hit the gym and lose that 10 pounds!

Here’s a few more memorable photos that I didn’t include in my blog posts.

Can’t find canolis like this one out west.

This skeleton had it made in Connecticut.

Halls of the Department of the Interior Building in DC

The town of Duck,North Carolina is home to Duck Donuts. They make these to order. Took about 10 minutes.

Probably why I only spent 2 hours in Vermont.

This Yellow Brick Road was in Wisconsin, not Kansas.

You can get just about anything at this Colorado store.

It was sublime along a secluded beach at Cape Hatteras National Seashore in North Carolina.

An iconic covered bridge in PA

This road in Pennsylvania is straight, didn’t need to steer.

Nice of this combine in South Dakota to give me some room. It was harvest time so they really had the right of way.

Back to the snow-covered Rockies

A ubiquitous Wall Drug sign along I-90 in South Dakota.

Cheap gas in Kansas City.

Nothing like a home-cooked meal for Thanksgiving.

Catching Up To Autumn’s Colors

When I arrived in North Carolina to visit my niece, I was able to get out and capture some of the Southern Fall Season.

Even the old barns had color.

White is a color too like in cotton.

Colorado’s Fall Colors In Fast Forward

A time lapse video from Colorado’s Autumn colors in late September. This was also my drive to work at Black Canyon’s North Rim. Watch in HiDef at Full Screen.`

Colorful Blue Ridge Parkway

This scenic highway operated by the National Park Service, stretches 469 miles from Virginia to North Carolina. I recently drove the road just past peak fall colors but they were awesome nevertheless.

Virginia’s Shenandoah National Park

Had a chance last week to visit another national park on my trip and Shenandoah didn’t disappoint.

Maine’s Acadia National Park

Acadia is a national park with somewhat undefined boundaries. It borders Bar Harbor, the Atlantic Ocean and a few other small communities. I wasn’t sure when I was in the park or outside of it. One thing I did know was that fall colors were lingering in the area.

Fall Colors Are Reflected In The Lakes Of New Hampshire

There’s not much wind in New Hampshire so the lakes and ponds are very still.

Halloween On Steroids

On my trip to the East Coast, I had never seen Halloween decorations quite like the following. Booooo……..💀

I wouldn’t go to this house to Trick or Treat.

Is that a Gargoyle skeleton upside down on the window?

Was’t sure if this was for Halloween or their normal look.

Could be a real cemetery.

Where do you buy this stuff?

Simple but scary………..

Might be a lost Bigfoot

A Martini and a Cigar. Maybe he got it from the now missing mailman.

There’s a message in this photo, not sure what it is.
