My friend and fellow blogger, Ali Erdmann, visited the Grand Canyon for the first time recently and was overwhelmed. However, it didn’t take her long to embrace the canyon and venture to its edge. Thankfully she is an experienced rock climber and yoga practitioner. These images were shot from the North Rim at Grand Canyon National Park.

Gorgeous images, Michael, but she seems dangerously close to the edge. Gave me the willies.

Have you ever been in the Grand Canyon bookstore? “Deaths in the Park” is a popular book there. 😳

Wow! 😱 One of the things I read is that photographers fall because the vast perspective pulls you forward when looking through the camera. I felt it but I wasn’t close to the edge!

I know what you mean Jane. I was really careful when photographing the Milky Way near the rim

Obviously not scared of heights! My stomach clenched just looking at how close the edge was. 😉

Great view of the sunrise! Did you camp in the hiker spots? Just love the north rim.
