Located in Northern Arizona, adjacent to the North Rim at Grand Canyon National Park, the Kaibab is on a plateau at elevations from 7,500 feet to 9,000. The Ponderosa Pines provide much needed shade and refuge from the 100 degree temperatures now making an appearance in Southern Utah. It’s almost summer but the North Rim of The Grand Canyon was blanketed with 4 inches of fresh snow on Thursday.
My friend and fellow blogger, Ali Erdmann, visited the Grand Canyon for the first time recently and was overwhelmed. However, it didn’t take her long to embrace the canyon and venture to its edge. Thankfully she is an experienced rock climber and yoga practitioner. These images were shot from the North Rim at Grand Canyon National Park.

Aspen trees were at full color at Grand Canyon National Park’s North Rim last week. Paradoxically, nearby aspens were past peak. Those images to follow soon.
