  1. My son and I headed to Grand Gulch, in Utah, from CO, years ago. We then took a small road down from there, south, and saw the most amazing view we’d ever seen as Valley of the Gods was in front of us and Mexican Hat’s mountains were to the east of that, with their colorful stripes that look like Mexican skirts. It was breathtaking. When you drive from Rico to Telluride you will be going over Lizard Head Pass and the Lake is off to the right side. Another favorite view of mine is driving from Telluride west then north, through Ridgway. I love the beautiful vista there.
