Maybe because I could use a nap right now, but I would so enjoy sitting on that needle strewn ground, my back against the tree, with my eyes closed smelling dried pine.

So gorgeous! One of the aspen close-ups look like a pointillist painting. I’m curious, what were your settings for the little waterfall? I’m trying to learn how to do that!

I used a tripod, a neutral density filter to darken the scene so I could do a slow exposure of 3 seconds at F22 and a ISO of 200

I buy Hoya filters which are of good quality and not too expensive.

Beautiful captures Michael!!! When is it considered peak foliage there? You seem to have hit it ‘just’ right!

Thanks Denise. It’s probably just past peak in the Sierras now. Where I live at Zion NP, we are at peak!
