An early morning thunderstorm woke me up this morning at 6am so I went out to shoot a glorious sunrise at Zion National Park, Utah. The sun’s rays were filtered by passing clouds and produced some dramatic light.

Frozen In Time- Vermilion Cliffs National Monument’s White Pocket
Constant erosion from wind and water over the last 200 million years have produced some sandstone oddities that are worth the effort to drive to. White Pocket is about 20 miles from any paved road so few venture to it. The Vermilion Cliffs National Monument is a place that deserves protection. See all my photos…
