I’ve lived in the Zion National Park area for the last 16 years but until recently, did not know these 2 interesting artifacts existed nearby. Less than an hours drive are some dinosaur tracks and Native American Indian rock art know as pictographs. Pictographs are painted onto the rock and petroglyphs are carved into the sandstone.

Very cool. When I visited St. George in 2012, my Airbnb hosts took me to see this area with lots of petroglyphs.
There are some other really good places near St George for petroglyphs probably out by Black Mtn

Wow, I had no idea either. It’s amazing how much is out there in the Utah desert.
Today we ran into a Tarantula Hawk which has a very nasty sting. Luckily no one was stung.
