A much-needed rainstorm passed through Zion on the first day of the government shutdown and I had the park pretty much to myself.

Beautiful! Brings back a lot of memories!
It’s a pity about the shutdown, but I guess it does have a plus side. 😉 Love these shots, Mike.
Everything is back to normal including the weather
Wow- these are pretty much my favorite photographs from your recent work. Really nice subject + a great, dramatic atmosphere. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the nice comment Luke!
Awesome photographs! I am in Zion now and heading to Bryce while being stuck in Springdale because of road construction:(
It’s a bad day to be in Springdale as they are going heavy today on asphalting. Hope you enjoy Zion and Bryce! Should be snow on the ground at Bryce
We are sitting here and dreaming of Bryce.
The best photos at Bryce are from Inspiration Point and use your zoom lens to isolate the hoodoos below.
Had a fabulous time in Bryce and took a lot of shots at Upper Inspiration! Thanks for the suggestion.
Snow was indeed on the ground!
Great to hear!
You captured the majesty of the Zion NP!!
Thanks Amy!
Beautiful park! I love these landscapes, but specially the second photo with the trees and the fog!
Thanks Mercedes, I really like that second one as well
You’ve captured some exciting times at Zion — love the cloud enhancements to the landscape there. One of our favorite national parks!
Glad to share some images of Zion!
One of my favorite places! Your photography is amazing!
Thanks Camie for the wonderful comment!
