New Moon= No Moon= Awesome Milky Way

Every month, the moon comes all the way around in its orbit so that it imostly between us and the sun. These images were taken yesterday at Zion National Park, Utah.

The Milky Way appears over Zion National Park on a moonless night.

  1. Beautiful images … I am inspired! I went out the other night after the moon went down but haven’t found the ideal spot yet … I need to get closer to the mountains I think. What illuminated those peaks in the distance?

  2. With your last image, I can’t help but think of the Scriptures – Genesis 15:5 – 5 He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”
