What You Didn’t Know About Wind Turbines!

You probably know that wind power is a fast growing form of energy production along with solar. It’s a renewable form as it will probably always be windy. But you probably didn’t know that the wind turbines make a fun and challenging photography subject. The images  below are from California’s Tehachapi Pass along Route 58 where it is always windy. These things remind me of those machines attacking in War Of The Worlds.

I remember visiting Livermore in 1988 and seeing some of the first wind turbines – it sure was windy there! Looks like the farms are expanding more and more. A couple of these shots would be perfect for the WPC Photo challenge this week: Motion.

Beautiful shots! Windmills always put a smile on my face! It’s great to see so many of them. Green energy is the best type of energy <3
