Fun With Wind Turbines

Wind Turbines have become ubiquitous in the rural landscapes of the Western United States. One day I was passing through California’s Tehachapi Pass and shot these turbines at different shutter speeds that produced differing results.

Stormy Zion Video

Today’s rainstorm ripped through Zion National Park and pretty much kept me inside my vehicle where I film its ferocity.  It was tough focusing because of all the water on my windshield. Watch the wind blow the water along the surface of the road

What You Didn’t Know About Wind Turbines!

You probably know that wind power is a fast growing form of energy production along with solar. It’s a renewable form as it will probably always be windy. But you probably didn’t know that the wind turbines make a fun and challenging photography subject. The images  below are from California’s Tehachapi Pass along Route 58 where it is always windy. These things remind me of those machines attacking in War Of The Worlds.
