From last week’s trip which included, thunder, lightning, rain, angry clouds, pulling someone’s truck out of the mud and some nice rainbows A large storm cell moving in from the South Rim.
Monsoon season has arrived to the Desert Southwest and we really need the rain and some lightning is OK too!
Lightning Strikes Are Back!
Monsoon Season Is Back in the Desert Southwest so I grabbed my camera for this action which has been absent the last 2 summers
During my recent trip to Colorado, I had to withstand the torments of a thunder and lightning storm that was extremely electric. Storm clouds rolling in. Even a bit of snow fell around my tent.

It’s not easy to capture lightning strikes but I was able to capture a few near Marble Canyon in Northern Arizona. The monsoon season is in full swing and storms are prevalent in the area during summer.

More Monsoonal Madness
Thunder and lightning storms ravaged the area Saturday evening. I drove to this area to go mountain biking but grabbed my camera instead. This storm struck St. George and Las Vegas unmercifully. I caught the tail end as it headed southwest.
Stormy Zion Country
Another huge thunder and lightning storm swept through Zion country yesterday and provided some good photo ops.
