With a foot or two of fresh snow, Bryce Canyon National Park was a required venture. The hoodoos never looked better. The weather forecast called for a high of 20 degrees(F) with a windchill of minus 22, so I quickly took care of business.

While out photographing autumn colors in Southern Utah, I realized I was a stone’s throw from Bryce Canyon National Park. And sunset was close with a nearly full moon rising. These were all shot from the incomparable Inspiration Point.
Here’s a few pics from last week’s visit to Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.
Today is the first day of autumn, a great time for photography, especially here in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. I conduct personal one-on-one instruction and will get you to those spots to capture images such as below. Colors peak towards the end of October and into the first few weeks of November. It snowed 3-4 inches at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah yesterday. With only a 2 hour drive to get there, naturally I was going to check it out. Fresh snow on the Bryce Hoodoos is just the extra icing on the cake to produce these outside the box images. I also stopped at Red Canyon on the way and shot its snow- splashed hoodoos. Set to music by Beck (Blue Moon) whose latest album, Morning Phase, is the best of 2014 and can be purchased at iTunes. Watch in HiDef at Full Screen. You can purchase these images as prints at Dawn2Dawn Photography
Maybe Beck will purchase one!
A quick trip to Bryce Canyon for a photo workshop left me just enough time to snap these shots.
