The Ponderosa Pine In Snow

The winter aspens have a life of their own when snowed upon, but so do the Ponderosa Pines with their distinctive orangish/brown bark. They don’t lose their leaves during winter because they done’t have leaves but pine needles.. These were taken at The Kaibab National Forest in Northern Arizona this past week.

Fresh snow has fallen in a Ponderosa Pine Tree forest at Kaibab National Forest, Arizona.
