The winter aspens have a life of their own when snowed upon, but so do the Ponderosa Pines with their distinctive orangish/brown bark. They don’t lose their leaves during winter because they done’t have leaves but pine needles.. These were taken at The Kaibab National Forest in Northern Arizona this past week.





I love that cinnamon colored bark with black contrast against the snow and green needles, beautiful!
