This is a long post showing about 50 photos I took this year in the upper elevations of the Western Slope of Colorado. The fun of this project was playing Inspector Clouseau.
















































Not sure of this one, any guesses? It may be a wildflower that hasn’t quite flowered yet.

Wild flowers are so beautiful! Many of those you show here we have also in Denmark. Our climate must be milder; in Colorado you have continental climate, don’t you, with very cold winters and very hot summers.
The last plant, could that be a kind of viburnum?

Our winters are cold but this summer was mild compared to other areas of western United States. That last flower must be viburnum since you were the second one to identify it.

Nice set! I love wildflowers and it was interesting to see how many of these are native to here (Sask, Canada) as well as to Colorado. My guess on the last one is witherod viburnum.
