My Favorite Music Videos. Vol I

A curated sample of my favorite music videos, concert footage and memorable movie scenes involving music. Some videos I found to be goofy and humorous and made the cut. Mostly  rock n roll. Looks like the 90s was my favorite decade.

The video quality is not great since I used my iPhone to film these clips off of my laptop. Sound quality is good. Some of the videos are pretty old and fuzzy anyways. It runs for 33 minutes but you don’t have to watch the whole thing . Vol II will come out in a few months, leave me any requests!

Arizona Skies To Music

I spent a couple of days last week traveling in Northern Arizona around the Vermilion Cliffs and Marble Canyon areas. Once again, I was amazed by the Arizona Skies as some scattered storm systems permeated the landscape.  I just couldn’t keep my camera down so I put together a slide show of the Arizona Skies along with a song by The Orb called Little Fluffy Clouds. The music fits as this hippie chic voices over how she feels about the Arizona Skies. Music can be purchased at  iTunes      If you don’t want to hear the music and view the pics at your own pace, Click here.

Watch You Tube video in HiDef and large Screen.

KCRW- My “Go To” Listening Source

KCRW is a NPR radio station out of Santa Monica, CA that offers a ton of listening options. Besides the regular lineup of NPR programs (Marketplace at 3:30 pm Mountain Time is my favorite), the station plays an immense amount of music.

Morning Becomes Eclectic is extremely popular in SoCal and is available M-F at 9am, PDT. Jason Bentley, the DJ, has his finger on the pulse of today’s music scene. The program also offers live, in-studio, performances! Where else can you listen to Beck and The War On Drugs play live on the radio.

feature

If you miss any of their DJ’s broadcasts( Henry Rollins is one), you can find the podcast and listen to it at your leisure as with all of their programs. They make it easy to download a song you may like from iTunes and Amazon. Maybe too easy. The station is commercial-free but you can donate 5 or 10 dollars per month. It is really worth it.

If you’re in LA, you can listen to it at 89.9 FM or on the internet at  KCRW
