Some More Reflections

Early Morning At Gould Reservoir. Snow Melts In Colorado Are Filling Up All The Lakes And Reservoirs In Colorado.

A Colorado Reflection

Blue Mesa Reservoir at Curecanti NRA can produce some great reflections when the waters are silky smooth, mostly during the morning. The afternoon winds are problematic.

Kolob Reflection

Near Zion National Park in Southern Utah is Kolob Reservoir. At approximately 8,000 feet in elevation, it’s a cool place to be during the sweltering months of summer experienced at lower elevations. And the glassy waters present a great opportunity for some reflection.

An Explosion Of Color!

I wasn’t quite expecting the  brilliant colors I encountered at Kolob Reservoir yesterday. I really caught the aspens at peak, peak color!.  Kolob Reservoir is about 35 miles from Zion National Park in Southern Utah and at an elevation of some 8,000 feet.

Lake Powell Moonrise

Lake Powell is on the border of Utah and Arizona. Formed by the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam, it has more shoreline than our Pacific Coastline. You might recognize in some of the photos, how the waterline has been dropping because of the drought in the area. I was there to capture the full moon rising. Companion time lapse can be seen at Moon Over Lake Powell Time Lapse Video.
