Autumn Along Lee Vining Creek

Utah’s Negro Bill Canyon Trail
You’re probably wondering about the name. William Granstaff , a black man, settles in Moab in 1877 and successfully becomes a cattle rancher. The trail leads you through this glorious canyon composed of Navajo Sandstone, Cottonwoods, Willows, Juniper, Pinyon Pine, some prickly Cactus and one refreshing perennial creek. The big payoff is at the end(2 1/4 miles from the trailhead), the Morning Glory Natural Bridge, at 243 feet wide. A natural bridge is an arch but with water running under it.
Taylor Creek Trail-Zion National Park
The Taylor Creek Trail at the Kolob Canyons section of Zion National Park is an easy stroll with a big payoff at the end. The trail follows Taylor Creek for 2.2 miles where it ends at the really cool Double Arch Alcove. The trail is 2.1 miles from the Kolob Canyon Visitor Center which is just off Interstate 15, about 30 miles north of St. George, Utah.
