From last week’s lingering fall colors near Zion National Park, Utah. Fall colors are starting to hit the lower elevations of Zion this week and it’s a totally different look. Stay tuned.

You get two seasons for the price of one. Dixie National Forest near Cedar City, Utah, received a few inches of fresh snow the other day on top of the autumn colors already present. The elevation at this spot is around 8 to 9,000 feet and the temperature was 39 degrees F at midday.

It was quite a drive the other day, providing a ground level view.

These Aspen tree forests are near to Zion National Park but at elevations of 8 to 9,000 feet.

These forests were very thick and not surrounded by pine trees.

The Aspen tree forests of Southern Utah are starting to really pop this week so of course I had to take a look. This time from above like a bird. This area has some of the thickest stands of Aspens and this year the oranges and reds were intense. There was still some green too so these colors will be changing for awhile.
