Don Quixote battles windmills because he believes that they are menacing giants. He feels that after defeating them, he will be able to call himself a true knight.
Don’t think he can take on these modern day wind turbines. Too high tech. You can only fight these with lasers. These wind turbines are located in the Tehachapi Mountains of California.

When I see wind turbines I always think of Don Quixote and wonder what he would make of them. I reckon he would be impressed too.

Your title makes me smile! These wind turbines would definitely baffle Don Quixote — in fact, they baffle me, too. Great photos!

As it happens, I’m reading Don Quixote at the moment! There are a few more here than the 3 “giants” he fought, though. 🙂

We pass wind farms every time we drive out to the western US and they always give me the creeps.
