The Neowise Comet travels north of Zion National Park last night.
That is on the East Side of Zion National Park this week.
Saw this anomaly in the clouds the other day.
Per Wikipedia, Lenticular clouds (Altocumulus lenticularis in Latin) are stationary clouds that form in the troposphere, typically in perpendicular alignment to the wind direction. They are often comparable in appearance to a lens or saucer. This one I shot over Death Valley National Park last week. Kinda looks like a saucer. Area 51 is nearby.
From a few weeks ago in Northern Arizona
Salvador Dali made an appearance at Zion National Park today and created some unusual brush strokes against the magnificent azure sky!
I spent a couple of days last week traveling in Northern Arizona around the Vermilion Cliffs and Marble Canyon areas. Once again, I was amazed by the Arizona Skies as some scattered storm systems permeated the landscape. I just couldn’t keep my camera down so I put together a slide show of the Arizona Skies along with a song by The Orb called Little Fluffy Clouds. The music fits as this hippie chic voices over how she feels about the Arizona Skies.
