Now A Resident Of Cool Colorado

Left Zion country recently for the Rocky Mountains and former friends who I worked with at Zion NP. We are all working at Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP which is very mellow compared to Zion. I also work a day or two at Curecanti NRA. Here’s some images I’ve gathered so far…..

Black Canyon NP is a hidden gem and a destination for rock climbers as you can see by the 2,000 foot walls.

Photo Of The Week- Colorado Autumn

Can you feel autumn coming? It’s my favorite season. The Colorado Rockies are a great place to experience fall colors and a little chill in the air. Aspen trees reach full color at different altitudes and latitudes.  This photo was shot on October 13th, 2012 near Telluride.  Peak colors are more likely  to happen in the last week of September and first week of October in Colorado but it varies. See chart at bottom.          Photo available as a print  or downloadable file at Dawn2dawn Photography
