Point Imperial Revisited

You may have remembered my shots from Point Imperial at The Grand Canyon where layers of fog were rising from the canyon depths. See Foggy Point Imperial.  This time I was there for sunset and the light did not disappoint.

Waiting For The Sun

Yes, it is the title of one of my favorite DOORS songs but this is what I had to do to get this shot at The Grand Canyon.  The sun was setting behind a bank of clouds and a spotlight of sun would appear in the canyon but I had to wait patiently until it lit up Mount Hayden in the foreground.  Click on image to purchase a print or downloadable file.
