Rocky is the 3rd most visited national park in the United States. After my initial visit, I can see why. From soaring mountaintops, pristine lakes and abundant wildlife, Rocky Mountain National Park is why we set aside these amazing natural resources.
Lost Lake Reflection
Lost Lake is near Crested Butte, Colorado and you kinda have to be lost to find it. It’s in the Gunnison National Forest and Kebler Pass. There’s a very nice campground there too.
Colorado’s Other Fall Colors
Although the leaves on the trees hadn’t begun to change color in Colorado mid-September, there were other colors popping. Surprisingly, wildflowers were still blooming.

During my recent trip to Colorado, I had to withstand the torments of a thunder and lightning storm that was extremely electric. Storm clouds rolling in. Even a bit of snow fell around my tent.
