My two-months long trip has ended and it was great seeing family and friends and the places I grew up in on the East Coast. Plus, I visited 4 more states I hadn’t been to before. I have two left, Alaska and Florida.
And ………….

And I also:
Visited 12 National Park locations.
Visited a good friend at the home office of The National Park Service, just a few blocks from The White House.
Travelled some 8,461 miles. Much more than I anticipated. I had to get my vehicle its scheduled maintenance when in Pennsylvania.
I travelled through 23 states plus D.C., some more than once. This included 4 states in about 4 hours time. See if you can guess them.
I travelled on two separate subway systems plus a ferry.
I took 2060 photos with my iPhone.
I snapped 2,346 photos with my Canon DSLR
I directed 86 videos of various lengths
I gained 10 pounds but it was worth it! I ate lobster, Mexican, Thai, Italian, NYC grub, New England Clam Chowder and a glorious Thanksgiving Day dinner at my sisters in Ohio.
Who knows where my next adventures will take me but it’s time to hit the gym and lose that 10 pounds!
Here’s a few more memorable photos that I didn’t include in my blog posts.

Can’t find canolis like this one out west.

Orangutanging around at National Zoo, DC

Bridge in Maine

This skeleton had it made in Connecticut.

Italian restaurant in DC, like a scene out of “The Godfather”

Pigeons not allowed on DC Metro subway

Embedded in the floor at the visitor center is a satellite image of St Croix National Scenic Riverway which divides Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The town of Duck,North Carolina is home to Duck Donuts. They make these to order. Took about 10 minutes.

Probably why I only spent 2 hours in Vermont.

This Yellow Brick Road was in Wisconsin, not Kansas.

You can get just about anything at this Colorado store.

An iconic covered bridge in PA

This road in Pennsylvania is straight, didn’t need to steer.

Nice of this combine in South Dakota to give me some room. It was harvest time so they really had the right of way.

Back to the snow-covered Rockies

A ubiquitous Wall Drug sign along I-90 in South Dakota.

Cheap gas in Kansas City.

Nothing like a home-cooked meal for Thanksgiving.
