We visited 3 wineries in Paonia where the wines were awesome as were the views. All of these photos were shot with my iPhone.

Stone Cottage Cellars in Paonia. The netting is to keep bees, birds and other pests from eating the grapes. It’s almost harvest time and the grapes are very sweet.

Azura Winery reminds one of a villa in Italy but it’s in Colorado.

ZenZen Gardens is home to Alfred Eames Cellars and a lot of flowers in Paonia.

Of course I had to buy some bottles.

Wonderful images! Colorado and wineries are a combo I sure didn’t expect.

Lovely area. Is it close enough to your work for a move? Thanks for the great photos and leading me to another town in CO to check out.
I just found out that Ohio has many wineries, too.

Next year I may work full time at the Morth Rim of Black Canyon which will be near Paonia. Glad you like photos!

We lived for a year in Paonia back in 2008 and loved it. The wine scene was just getting going then, but was clearly destined for good things. We visited again this summer and I was pleasantly surprised how nice that valley remains.
