Now A Resident Of Cool Colorado

Left Zion country recently for the Rocky Mountains and former friends who I worked with at Zion NP. We are all working at Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP which is very mellow compared to Zion. I also work a day or two at Curecanti NRA. Here’s some images I’ve gathered so far…..

Black Canyon NP is a hidden gem and a destination for rock climbers as you can see by the 2,000 foot walls.

My drive to work.

Spring has sprung along Curecanti Creek at Curecanti National Recreation Area, Colorado

Lots of snow still in Colorado

Spring is finally making an appearance, sort of.

San Juan Mountains

Curecanti NRA

The Painted Wall at Black Canyon.

This was there the first day when I arrived at the North Rim of Black Canyon. Good sign!

Blue Mesa Reservoir at Curecanti.

This is what I hope to do very soon. Someone caught a 73 pound Trout here the other day.

Thanks Eliza. I was through this area last fall and was sold back then. Hope to capture a lot of wildflower pics this summer plus there’s more wildlife in the area

Congrats! That’s a big change of scenery, but moving from beauty to beauty. We loved the year we lived in Hotchkiss/Paonia.

I already like Paonia and plan to move there soon once I get settled. I had also thought of moving back to California and still may some day
