Question! Best place in the Colorado Rockies for fall colors? By Michael Andrew JustAugust 6, 2019 ( 9 ) I’ll be visiting the Colorado Rockies in mid-September and wondered where the best autumn colors are. Especially in Aspen tree forests. One person told me today Crested Butte. What do you think? https://www.instagram.com/michaelandrewjust/TwitterFacebookTumblrEmailInstagramLinkedInPinterestRedditLike this:Like Loading... Rico has Aspen Groves on both sides of the highway that goes through it, over Lizard Head pass and on to Telluride. That whole area is stunning in the fall. The photo I posted is from that area. I hope to get to that area again this fall. Want to climb Mt Sneffels! LikeLike Reply ↓ katelon August 6, 2019 • 6:58 PM Nice! Did you drive through Rico? I loved have entire hillsides of Aspens on either side of the road. LikeLike Michael Andrew Just August 6, 2019 • 7:00 PM No, I didn’t go thru Rico but I’ll check it out. There are lots of roadside views, but also a ton of wilderness aspen groves that not many folks hike to. There are a LOT of options in that area. Telluride to Rico is great too. Much of Colorado has mountains and aspen, so it’s hard to go wrong. Chuck Place LikeLike Reply ↓ Michael Andrew Just August 10, 2019 • 12:49 PM Thanks Chuck. I plan to enter Colorado from the north and head south so I should see a lot. LikeLike Reply ↓ Leave a Reply Cancel reply Enter your comment here...
