South Coyote Buttes

If you don’t score a permit for The Wave at Coyote Buttes, stick around the BLM office in Kanab, Utah for a chance for a permit for South Coyote Buttes. It takes about 20 miles of driving through sand and tire-piercing slick rock but it is worth the adventure. Part 1 of 2.

Unusual sandstone rock formations are the predominate feature at South Coyote Buttes at the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, Arizona
