It Never Rains In Death Valley

Well, almost, it did a little this past Friday. Death Valley only receives 2 inches per year, mostly in the winter. In a lot of locations in this world, you can receive 2 inches of rain in less than an hour.  The storm clouds gave Death Valley National Park a look I normally don’t see. The clouds and filtered sunlight produced some memorable images.

Beautiful. I love the perspective of the one with the road……the lines really draw you in.

Thanks Donna. I’ve been using the lines of a road as a lead in quite a bit lately or I’ll put myself in the photo to give some perspective.

I got the following reply from Death Valley NP when I posted the road photo on their Facebook Page. Kinda funny

Death Valley National Park- Pretty please do not take photos from the middle of the roadway. Your endangering yourself and others. Plus there are so many other beautiful safer places to photograph.

If I see these ominous clouds over Dublin, I know it would be floods and strong winds for 3 or 4 days… hehehe

I was there some years ago, and at night we could hear the rain pattering our canbin roof. Never expected that in Death Valley.
