The Peculiar South Coyote Buttes

Located within Vermilion Cliffs National Monument on the Utah/ Arizona border, this landscape is one of a kind.  Sandstone anomalies produced through millions of years of erosion has given this place its look. And its not easy to get to especially on a cold, windy day.

That road looks like lots of fun. It’s hard to believe it was cold when the sky is so blue, but your clothing tells another story.

Thanks Cattan. I live a few hours from this spot but the whole region is amazing. The next day I went to the Grand Canyon nearby. Pics to follow soon!

Wonderful photos! My daughter and I have visited the Moab area of Utah, and just love it. I had never heard of Vermillion Cliffs, but it looks like my kind of place. Would love to visit there (perhaps in warmer weather)!
