Your photos are a feast! Such beautiful and haunting rock formations. They make me think of Lot’s wife and other hapless folk turned to stone. Do the native legends have anything about that? I also think how daunting this landscape must have been to early settlers.
Thanks Eliza. I’m not sure what the natives first thought of these hoodoos. Probably had some spiritual meaning The park was named after a Mormon rancher in the area.
