Photos from a recent snowfall at Zion NP.
Great drama Michael!
Thanks Maria. There was very good light the other day!
I can tell. Great photos!
Beautiful, as always, Mike. I really get the sense that these mountains are MASSIVE!
Thanks Eliza. Sometimes I don’t think I’ve captured how really big these canyon walls really are. They seem so much more massive and awe inspiring in person.
One of the challenges of photography – scale!
They are very impressive. But I think they would best be appreciated, printed quite large and on a wall somewhere.
Thanks Shimon. I like big prints too!
Wow the light! Great capture, Michael. It looks cold, hope you didn’t camp out there.
Thanks Amy. Fortunately, I live about a mile from the entrance to Zion.
You live a mile from one of the most breathtakingly humbling places in this country–what great fortune. Your images capture its majesty. It’s one of my favorite places, ever.
stunning with great lights on the peaks.
Excellent series of photos! 😀 The light was really magnificent! Well done capturing such a beautiful moment!
Fantastic set, Michael. The landscape with the spot of sunlight and the snowy trees against the red rock especially caught my eye. Wonderful.
The light is gorgeous ! Do you often get more snow than that ? It looks like there is only a tiny layer of snow
Thanks. No, we don’t get too much snow. In the highest elevations, we’ll get feet of snow. I wish we received more snow but this is mostly a desert environment. Also, the snow doesn’t stick much to the steep vertical canyon walls
It makes sense ! Thanks for the explanation
Beautiful light and great capture of every image!
