Point Imperial Revisited

You may have remembered my shots from Point Imperial at The Grand Canyon where layers of fog were rising from the canyon depths. See Foggy Point Imperial.  This time I was there for sunset and the light did not disappoint.

I love all your GC shots, Michael! Great series!
Do you camp out days to get these shots?

Thanks Amy. Yes, I camp out near the North Rim to get away from the heat from Southern Utah. I’ll be going again this week with Monsoonal moisture in the forecast

Beautiful, Michael, per usual! I find #2 particularly captivating with its play of orange light and dark shadow.

Thanks Eliza. Near sunset is where the various colors can really pop!

I stood next to you while you shot these and your images capture the intensity nicely.
