Monsoonal Moisture In Northern Arizona

I love the monsoon season in Northern Arizona. From July to early September, dramatic skies form above the parched desert landscape.  The rains provide some relief from the scorching 100 degree(F) temperatures. Rainbows, large puffy clouds, violent storm cells and electricity filled up the Arizona Sky.

Great dramatic storm clouds, Michael – love the sun motes and rainbows and I hope you are staying safe amidst the lightning bolts!

Thanks Eliza. From where I camp, I have a large view of the storms coming and going although one recent morning at 3am, I had to jump out of my tent and into my truck because the lightning and thunder was really close

Glad to hear you have a back-up plan – lightning is not to be messed with at all!
