Bryce is Twyce as Nyce When it Snows

It snowed 3-4 inches at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah yesterday. With only a 2 hour drive to get there, naturally I was going to check it out. Fresh snow on the Bryce Hoodoos is just the extra icing on the cake to produce these outside the box images. I also stopped at Red Canyon on the way and shot its snow- splashed hoodoos. This is beautiful. Is it possible to hike during winter in the park ? or you can just go to the viewpoints ?

Yes, you can hike down into the hoodoos which I’ve done before. I decided to do some cross country skiing on the top of the canyon instead.

I prefer Bryce in winter, not that the summer version is all that bad! 🙂

Yes, I prefer winter as well although it is very cold there at 8,000 feet

Amazing! They look almost like some sort of alien planet rock formations sprinkled with icing sugar.
