I stared down the approaching cougar, trying to focus on focusing my camera. I knew I had little time to get the shot and then outrun the predator. The cougar was gazing at me like I was tonight’s dinner. Fortunately for me there was a big fence between me and the big cat, actually 2 fences. This was shot at 200mm, F6.3, 1/100th at 500 ISO since the light was not great. The F6.3 yields little depth of field which also removes the fence between me and the cougar. This was taken at The Exotic Feline Center neat Rosamond, California. Cathouse.org Great place to view cats of all types.
